About this piece
Bylanes of Calcutta portrays Ramdulal Nibas and the close architecture of an old Kolkata neighbourhood. The scene is inspired by buildings whose worn surfaces and domestic scale hold layers of city memory, including the home’s familiar connection to the film “Piku.”
The A6 postcard is printed with a matte finish on 300 gsm deluxe card, giving the illustration a tactile, display-friendly surface that also feels substantial enough to send as a personal note.
Write and post it, add it to a gift, or keep it as a mini art print for a desk, shelf or pinboard. It is an easy, personal gift for someone attached to the depicted place or moment.
The original artwork and product design are by Aishwarya Ashok for Rue Des Arts. Each piece is produced in a small batch, checked in the studio and packed with care for delivery across India.
